The front board outside edges are rubbed but the gilt lettering is bright and bold. The spine is faded with rubs to the top and bottom edges. The gilt lettering is faded. The rear board is damped and this has caused wrinkling and fading. This damping has spread to the rear inside board. The top edge is faded. The internal pages are good but there is some staining to the edges of the plates with no foxing or tears. This includes the colour frontis and plates. The binding is very tight.
Dust wrapper/ A replica dust wrapper has been placed behind. There is a piece missing from the front flap and front cover. This measures 17.5cm accross 12cm from the top of the front flap down.  The bottom of the flap has a chip measuring 1cm x 2cm with a small hole above. There is additional loss to the top left hand corner of the front panel measuring 3cm x 2cm.The front panel has some creases. The top of the spine has edge loss, not affecting the title. The bottom edge of the spine has edge loss and a chip to the left measuring 1.5cm x 3cm and another to the right measuring 2cm x 1cm. The publisher is affected. The rear panel has  two closed tears to the top edge measuring 2cm and 1cm. The rear flap hinge has chips to the top and bottom. The rear of the jacket has extensive blue colour run and stain to the spine showing through to the front slightly. Not price cut/2281
