The front cover spine and back cover are all bright and clean with no bumps. the spine is very slightly cocked. The lettering and pictorial illustration is bright and bold. The text block is foxed and this has spread to some margins and some internal pages. The frontis and plates are bright and bold. The front inside board and end paper have brown marks. No inscription. The rear inside board and end paper are clean and bright.
Dust wrapper/ The front cover spine and back cover are reasonably clean and bright. The back cover has some browning. The front cover has a crease running along the top. There are chips to all four corners. There is a closed tear to the bottom left 8cm. The spine is rubbed top and bottom with small closed tears. There is a crease running along the bottom back cover hinge. The back cover has a closed tear 1cm middle bottom edge. The front and  rear flaps are good. Not price cut./1376
