Te front cover is faded and the gold leaf title is intact and reasonably bright. The top left hand corner has a small water stain There are rubs down the spine edge. The top and bottom right hand corners are bumped and slightly rubbed. The spine has rubs. The gold lettering is faded on "Biggles" but still legible. The rest of the lettering is intact and reasonably bright.The back cover is faded with rubs on all edges. The top and bottom outside corners are bumped, with the bottom one showing the inside board. The front inside board is clean. The front end paper has a name inscribed and there is a scratch bottom left 6cm long. The frontis and and plates are all intact. The hinge is slightly pulled in places but the binding is reasonably tight. There is an autumn 1937 catalogue to rear. The pages are clean with some minor brown marks to margins. The rear end paper and rear inside board are both clean./1261
